Mallorca´s Achitecture

Through the craftsmen, many of Mallorca's traditions are kept alive, continuing the legacy of those who inhabited the island before them. Today, under the banner of sustainable and responsible tourism, Mallorca has managed to maintain the characteristics that make each of its regions unique.

Honouring Mallorca´s craftsmanship

The personality of each region is not only present in its gastronomy, but also in its local traditions and the customs of its inhabitants. It is also palpable in other cultural forms, and architecture is a good example of this.

In the case of Mallorca, both the climate and the materials provided by the island itself have been decisive in determining the personality of the buildings. And the result is a style of its own in which natural stone is one of the main protagonists. But in addition to natural stone, Mallorca's architecture has always taken another element into account: light. Not only because of the warmth it brings, but also because it increases the sensation of space and creates a more comfortable atmosphere. For these reasons, most buildings seek to integrate natural light into the architectural project.
